God's Will

Phew! For a while there I (Jenny) wasn’t sure quite how we’d get through it all, but I knew we would. In the last few weeks one might say we’ve had some ups and downs. Our four-year-old son had surgery (everything is a-OK), and Mike had a business trip (WHILE our son had surgery); we had a WONDERFUL camping weekend with our Seattle EE community; we had to close Convention on-line registration, then we got to open registration; we had to do some renegotiating with the hotel (all’s good); we thought we were outta shirts and fleece jackets (and we are nearing the end)*, then we thought we’d get some more (sorry, we won’t be able to); we (Mike ‘n Jenny) were told that we weren’t picked by a birth mom (to adopt a baby girl), then we were told we were picked, then we weren’t sure if we still were picked, then I got to go to an ultrasound and we were reminded of God’s grace and how everything will always work out according to HIS will, not ours. (And we DO now have a wonderful birth mom due to give birth to – hopefully – OUR baby girl on Thanksgiving Day)! Now, that things have settled a bit (in both our personal life AND Convention life…which has become our personal AND social life), we feel comfortable getting the heck outta town for a much needed vacation! Whilst we are away our extraordinary Co-Chairs, Rich & Sue Stockinger, will be holding down the fort. Any emails will be forwarded to them and they will respond as best as they’re able. We wish you a happy, happy week.

* Because we will be out of town and the inventory for Convention merchandise is getting so low (seriously: slim pickin’s), we will be (temporarily) turning off the option to purchase t-shirts and fleece jackets. We may open it back up next weekend (August 28th) or we may just wait until Convention and have a select few items for sale there. All merchandise can be picked up upon check-in at the Registration table.
