Mitch and Kathy Finley live in beautiful Spokane, Washington. They are nationally recognized, award-winning Catholic authors and speakers. Their exciting, inspirational books and live presentations focus on topics related to practical, everyday spirituality and authentic faith in today’s world and in the contemporary church. Together the Finleys address topics related to marriage and family life. Kathy is also a popular speaker and retreat director on issues related to women’s spirituality. Mitch speaks and leads retreats and workshops on men’s spirituality. Happily married since 1974, Mitch and Kathy have been working in church-related ministries since before they met, and they are the parents of three grown sons.
Mitch is a regular contributor to "Living Faith: Daily Catholic Devotions"
and Kathy contributes regularly to "Living Faith for Kids."
Brian DesRoches, MSC, Ph.D. LMFT, is a Seattle-based marriage and family therapist. The author of Reclaiming Yourself and Your Boss Is Not Your Mother, he brings a unique and refreshing perspective to the emotional process that is both a source of joy and frustration within marriage. Brian and his wife Patti, a Hospice Spiritual Counselor, have been married for 23 years and have two adopted children in their late teens.
Terry Hershey has served as a Protestant minister, and is now a writer and garden designer on Vashon Island, near Seattle, Washington. He speaks throughout the US on relationships and spirituality and gardening. The Power of Pause (Loyola Press) is his tenth book. Mostly he loves to dance with his son, and watch bald eagles ride the currents in the canyon behind his house.
Kelly and Karla Carper have been active in Catholic Engaged Encounter since 1999. Besides presenting weekends, they have served as local coordinators and unit coordinators. They have 3 amazingly intelligent and beautiful children, and have lived in Lewiston, Idaho for the past 11 years.
Kelly has been a Junior High and High School Social Studies teacher for 19 years. He has also coached high school football and high school girls' basketball for 19 years.
Karla has been a Counselor, a School Psychologist, and an Academic Coordinator in public schools for 14 years. They will present Friday morning to help "Reboot your Community". It is guaranteed to be a very enlightening and entertaining time.
